SeedGenes is a project to identify genes that are essential in seed development in Arabidopsis. Genes have been identified by seed phenotype changes after gene mutation. The current release is dated January 2005 with information on 295 genes and 462 mutants.
The database is a collaboration between Syngenta (Research Triangle Park, NC) and the Meinke laboratory at Oklahoma State University. It is supported by the National Science Foundation (2010 Program) and the S.R. Noble Foundation (Ardmore, OK).
The Virginia Bioinformatics Institute hosts the project.
Access to the database requires registration via a valid email address.
