Next main thing

MetaBase is a user-contributed database. The idea is that both database developers and database users can work together to document the huge array of biological databases currently available on the internet. For more information see What is MetaBase?

To reach a wider audience, a description of the MetaBase database will be submitted for publication. To emphasise the community nature of this project, the first 30 significant contributors will be added to the list of authors on that publication.

An important aspect of MetaBase is that the database system itself (currently this MediWiki) is not static. New design features and ideas can be implemented by users like you! So if you have a beter way to organize the data, categorize pages, build links or anything else, Be Bolder! Jump right in and start editing, or alternatively, post your ideas on the comments and suggestions page.

To simply begin working with MetaBase, see Working with MetaBase.
